COVID-19 outbreak has emerged as a global health crisis having adverse social and economic impacts. The spread of the pandemic and its penetration even amidst the lockdown has badly affected the livelihood of millions. VGCB being a responsible corporate has taken robust footsteps and necessary measures to support the community during the pandemic. We have been fighting in the forefront to control the spread of the pandemic in the neighboring communities and to support the adversely affected during these testing times.

Some of the initiatives taken by VGCB during COVID-19 are: –

• Support was given to families, who had lost their earning member due to COVID-19.
• Masks, sanitizers, and hand wash liquid were distributed to key stakeholders and the community around.
• Distributed rations to families of daily wage workers of the nearby slums during the lockdown.
• Widespread communication across the community on COVID-19 precautions & social distancing was done through posters.
• Fumigation and sanitization were done across the community through Mist Canon.
